Dear Participant,

You are embarking on a journey into
territory which is both dark and  dangerous.  In other words, this
ain’t gonna be no walk in the park! The inner city of Fort Worth,
also known as the Lancaster Corridor, is “home” to thousands
of men, women and children who have no where else to live.  Life on the streets is a vile existence.
The destitute wear depravity like a dark cloak which shields them from reality.  Many are addicted to
drugs and alcohol.  Many are mentally ill.  Many are beat down and worn out from surviving day to day.

In the midst of all of this darkness, God has called a church to be Light.  Lighthouse Community Church
started meeting on the street corner at Lancaster and IM Terrell Way over four years ago. Led by
Pastor Michael Hatcher, Lighthouse has built relationships, gained trust and established a reputation for
helping the homeless. Through the GUTTS weekend, our purpose is to help you gain understanding into
the hearts and mindset of the destitute and downtrodden in order to better serve along side Lighthouse
in ministering to all our brothers and sisters who live in the Lancaster Corridor.

You can call it poverty simulation.  You can call it sensitivity training. You can call it homeless boot camp.
We call it GUTTS – Gaining Understanding/Training To Serve.  It will take great resolve, intelligence,
an open heart and an open mind to successfully complete this journey.  Have you got what it takes?
Have you got the GUTTS?

If so, fill out the registration forms, mail or email them, along with your $50.00 fee, to
mghatcher@1lighthousechurch.com, and report to the conference room on the second floor of the
Day Resource Center at 1415 E. Lancaster in Fort Worth on Friday, February 29th  at 11 a.m. for a
life changing adventure in Gaining Understanding/Training To Serve.  See you then!

No GUTTS, No GLORY!
To God be the glory!

Pastor Michael Hatcher
